Hi, I’m Meline!

I am a 22-year-old wildlife photographer and a Wildlife Ecology student at Montana State University, but my journey with photography started much earlier—back in the beautiful landscapes of southern Germany, where I grew up.

At 15, I asked my aunt if I could borrow her camera. I had no experience, but I was eager to learn. With the help of YouTube tutorials and photography blogs, I taught myself the basics. I took our family’s dog on a hike and started practicing what I had learned. It quickly became an obsession. Every day, I was out capturing new photos, trying to improve my skills.

Wanting to share my work, I created an Instagram page, and to my surprise, I started receiving great feedback. Encouraged by the support, I expanded my focus beyond pets and began photographing local wildlife such as birds, foxes, and anything I could find. Then came an unforgettable experience: a trip to Greenland with alongside my mother. There, I had the chance to photograph walruses, seals, muskoxen, and more.

On the ship, passengers noticed me editing my photos and started asking about my work. I even had the opportunity to give a small presentation about the images I had captured. That moment was a turning point—I realized that wildlife photography wasn’t just a hobby; it was my passion.

I’ve always been fascinated by wild animals, and photography allows me to combine that love with storytelling. That’s why I chose to study Wildlife Ecology. My goal is to use both my photography and research to contribute to conservation efforts and raise awareness about endangered species in a changing world.

Thank you for following my journey—I’m excited to share more adventures with you!
