Every lion carries its scars and each scar tells a story. A story of being brave, of protecting your family and a story of rivalry. This particular lion received its scars in a battle with another male lion that came into his territory. These fights are intense and can often lead to the death of a lion. But sometimes, if they’re lucky, they can escape with a few cuts and bruises.
To me it is always so interesting to observe and analyze different male lions. Each of them have scars and I always wonder what might have happened.
