What a beautiful evening this was. Everything just came together perfectly to get these shots of this young cheetah. She was still very young and had probably just left her mothers side. Predators will often use thermite mounts to get a better view over the plains to look for any potential prey. As the sun was setting I really hoped she would get up as we positioned ourselves perfectly with the sun right behind her. Not often wishes come true in wildlife photography but that evening I got lucky and she gave us a beautiful show.

Sometime everything just aligns perfectly in wildlife photography. The light, the position, and the subject all worked out perfectly in this instance for me to take this beautiful silhouette image of the cheetah.
